Pedro Penguin and a Young Earth (Comic)

I have recently moved back to Oklahoma where both my parents are from.  Some of you Okies may remember my old friend Paul Shell (d. 2019).  He was a reporter and copy editor with The Daily Oklahoman for over three decades.  He exposed political corruption within the powers that be.  We worked at the Pioneer (OCCC, "O Trip C") together where I had the privilege of interviewing Maya Angelou (I have 2 of her quarters).  I also had a political cartoon published in the Pioneer.  More info on Pedro the Penguin below.

 

Over the decades, the "trustability" of many papers has gone downhill.  However, my mom still reads The Oklahoman daily.  Before my father passed the mortal coil, he would hit the obits first thing in the morn.  Some newspapers can only survive through outside support.  The motto of the NYT has been "All the News That's Fit to Print."  Yet, do you recall the resignation in 2020 of NYT op-ed staff editor Bari Weiss?  She was constantly bullied by her colleagues and called vicious names.  The NYT leadership did not come to her defense or help heal the poor relationships.  Since when has unlawful discrimination and a hostile work environment been part of good journalism?

 

So, we need comics that are willing to stand outside the box.  Pedro is taking a radical stance by defending a youthful world.  Let me know what you think, pro or con, I believe in free speech:
